Abstract
To verify the accuracy of the lane change safety model, a vehicle with an automatic lane change function was used as the test platform to conduct the test on public road. Data during the lane change process were collected with different subjects as the test samples. The takeover action of the subject served as the basis for the subjective determination of lane change safety, thus validating the effect of different lane change safety models, mainly the vehicle behind the target lane, on lane change safety. The results show that the method works for evaluating the safety performance of lane change of a self-driving system and provides a methodological basis for testing and evaluating the lane change function of self-driving.
