Abstract
Winter climate will lead to abrupt change of microtopographic features in local geographic areas, resulting in ice disaster, which will seriously affect the safe operation of power grid transmission lines. Such areas are called ice-prone microtopographic areas. This paper compares the common extraction methods of regional micro-topography and terrain feature lines and focuses on researching the traditional method of identifying micro-topography in ice-cover-prone regions based on the terrain recognition algorithm of surface water physical simulation. In the end, we obtain a micro-topographic map of the whole area of Guizhou containing six types of micro-topography, including ridges, valleys, passes, windward slopes, leeward slopes, and water vapor upwelling areas. We verify the effectiveness of the method through precision analysis. It provides topographic data reference for inspection and maintenance of ice-covered transmission lines and deployment of anti-icing work of transmission lines.
