Abstract
In this paper, we designed and built a surface discharge test system for the macroscopic interface between solid insulating medium and inorganic powder and used the test system to study the surface discharge characteristics of the interface between magnesium oxide powder and epoxy resin under different particle sizes, different stacking states and different surface discharge interval times under DC voltage. The experimental results show that the magnesium oxide powder can improve the insulation level of the interface compared with air, and the tight stacking and extended along-surface discharge interval can effectively improve the insulation performance of the macroscopic interface between magnesium oxide powder and epoxy resin.
