Abstract
It is of great significance to predict the number of new energy vehicles in China in the next 20 years to ensure the normal operation of the future power grid and guide the future planning of the power grid. Multiple linear regression models have the advantage of considering the influence of multiple related factors when predicting the future diffusion of products; Solow models have the advantage of translating technological progress and labor capital inputs when predicting economic growth. After considering the possible trend of China's scientific and technological development and policy changes in the next 20 years, the above two models predict the ownership of new energy vehicles in China by 2040. Prediction results show that China's new energy vehicles will develop rapidly in the next ten years. Still, the growth will be slow around 2040 due to the decrease in investment increment and the saturation of policies.
