Abstract
Evaluation and Grading Criteria for Micro-Cracks on Old Cement Concrete Pavements of Rural Roads in Gansu Province have been established by selecting four typical rural roads: Baigong Road in Gangu County, Xilian Road in Yongdeng County, Lijiaping to Diaozhuang Road in Hezheng County, and Haiyu Road in Huining County. The purpose is to ensure that the treated panels have sufficient support strength after micro-crack treatment. The investigation of distresses, deflection, and ground penetrating radar testing were conducted on the old cement concrete pavements of these four roads. Combining deflection values, Pavement Condition Index (PCI), and slab cracking rates, a comprehensive evaluation and analysis were carried out to propose standards for grading and treatment of micro-cracks on old cement concrete panels of rural roads.
