17 September 2018 Design of lens hoods for the "Lira-B" space telescope

Abstract
The space investigation project "Lira-B" is purposed to perform a high-precision multicolor photometric all-sky survey of objects from 3 to 16 m. This investigation concludes in multiple photometric measurements in ten spectral bands from 200 to 1000 nm. Such telescope systems should provide maximum light gathering and meet stray light requirements. The main goal of the given work is optical design of the telescope system with lens hoods protecting against the parasitic illumination. Analysis of impact of the lens hoods’ surface structure and coatings on the image quality is performed and ways to reduce the stray light in the system. The modeling is carried out using Zemax OpticStudio software in the nonsequential mode.
