Abstract
One big landfill in Beijing was selected by this study and changing volumes of landfill gas (LFG) were estimated according 18 years buried rubbish data from2003 to 2020. Two typical prediction models Scholl-Canyon and LandGEM were selected to estimate the landfill gas production ration from 2004 to 2020, respectively. By Scholl-Canyon model, the max volumes of landfill gas appeared in 2009. Then, slower decreasing trend appeared after max volume. By LandGEM model, gas production increased in whole study period. Landfill gas production reached an inflection point in 2009 and then slowly increased. The rubbish amount have important effect on the landfill gas production; annual variation analysis of monthly volume of the LFG production showed that an obvious seasonal variation characteristic of landfill gas production and the peak values of it appeared in both summer and autumn seasons.
