Abstract
DC motor has been widely used in industry control area. This paper proposes a speed control system of DC motor. Classical proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control is not flexible for the parameter changes of the system. In the system, the auto-tuning PID controller based on the relay feedback approach are adopted to achieve precise speed, which are respond to disturbances and adjust suitable parameters rapidly. In order to verify the model, the proposed controller is evaluated experimentally with data acquisition card by LabVIEW programming software. The results showed that the system had the characteristics of fast response of speed adjusting and low error.
