Abstract
This paper analyzes the adaptability of the line slope after the failure of the EMU and conducts a simulation calculation for the traction and braking capabilities of the CR400AF EMU. Combined with the test results of a long-slope line of a high-speed railway, a comparative analysis is carried out, and the restrictive conditions for the operation of the long-slope line are put forward. The relevant conclusions can provide reference for the railway bureau to organize on-site rescue of EMUs and formulate relevant emergency plans.
