Abstract
To save the energy and extend the lifetime of the network, Cluster Routing Algorithm based on Agglomerative Hierarchical Clustering (CRAAHC) is proposed in wireless sensor networks. WSN is divided into a certain quantity of ring areas based on the energy consumption model. Clustering process is optimized by constraining the distance between clusters and the diameter of clusters to improve the quality of clustering algorithm. Cluster head selection strategy is improved by considering the residual energy of the node and energy consumption in communication with other nodes in one cluster. Simulation results show that CRAAHC algorithm can achieve energy efficiency and routing reliability.
