Abstract
With the expanding scale of urban rail transit network, the difficulty of operation organization is increasing. Unbalanced distribution of time and space in passenger flow demand make it difficult for operation managers to accurately grasp the changing trend of passenger flow and analyze the unbalanced area of network load to take timely adjustment measures. Based on the difficulties in the operation of urban subway, the evaluation method of coupling between transport capacity and passenger flow was proposed in this paper. Firstly, the passenger flow characteristics of urban rail transit network are analyzed. Secondly, according to passenger flow characteristics and train capacity variation rules, a coupling evaluation method combined with the line OD passenger flow ratio calculation is proposed. The method consists of four stages: cutting the passenger waiting time fragment based on the arrival and departure time of each train in the train diagram, calculating the total passenger demand based on the short-term forecast passenger flow, calculating the station passenger retention based on train capacity constraints, calculating the train capacity index and passenger flow index. Finally, the method was verified by taking Line 2 of a city in central and western China as an example.
