Abstract
In order to improve the rationality of vibration parameter values and lean design of long-span transmission tower, this paper carries out the field study on vibration characteristics of a long-span transmission tower with a 385 m height as the study object, in which the vibration parameters such as vibration frequency and mode shape of the crossover tower were studied. Results show that the vibration of the crossing tower is dominated by horizontal vibration, the vibration in the z direction is symmetrical, and the average vibration acceleration is approximately zero. The mode shapes of the crossover tower in the first three orders were first-order transverse bending, first-order longitudinal bending and first-order torsional modes. The corresponding frequencies were 0.58464Hz, 0.58705Hz and 0.81486Hz, respectively. In light of the measured data, the mode shape of the crossing tower calculated by the stochastic subspace identification method is in good agreement with the finite element simulation results.
