Abstract
Energy consumption of servers is highly concerned by each kind of user, it is important to select scientific and reasonable energy consumption test scheme. On the basis of present energy consumption evaluation, use SPECPower_ssj2008 as testing tool, and exact testing data from it. This test scheme includes modify parameters of SPECPower scripts on different conditions, then run SPECPower software to test server energy consumption. Result of such experiment shows setting different script parameters affect power performance of server. This scenario can be applied to scientifically and reasonably guide optimization server energy consumption, providing reference foundation for project evaluation, and better planning IT systems.
