Preparation of cobalt nanoparticles and fullerene Co-doped TiO2 particles (Co-C60/TiO2) by sol-gel method with titanium n-butoxide (TNB) to enhance the visible light photocatalytic performance TEM and BET results confirm that the Co-C60/TiO2 nanoparticles have relatively small particle size and homogeneous structure. Under the irradiation halogen-tungsten lamp at the wavelength of 617 nm, the removal efficiency of malachite green degradation decomposition on Co-C60/TiO2 catalysts reached 78%. In our experiments, the optimal cobalt doping was 0.05% to achieve maximum photocatalytic degradation, and the samples calcined at 500 °C had the best reactivity.
