Abstract
Real time reconnaissance imaging systems development has to date concentrated on data collection, transmission and ground reproduction of the collected data. Systems typical of this class include Quick Strike Reconnaissance (QSR), Electronic Wide Angle Camera System (EWACS), Long Range Electro-Optical Reconnaissance System (LOREORS), and Electronic Solid State Wide Angle Camera System (ESSWACS). This paper is concerned with the application of Laser Beam Recorders (LBR) for the ground reproduction in near real time (15-30 seconds) of information collected by these systems and the tested QSR/AAD-5 system. The status of the ESSWACS system is reviewed and application of the LBR to that system emphasized.
