Abstract
The relation between of Talbot images of a grating and the spectrum plane of a lens is discussed by the Fourier spectrum analysis. It is indicated that the periods of the Talbot images at any equal distance from the spectrum plane are the same. The theory of Talbot images symmetry about Fourier spectrum plane is described. The spectrum plane is determined with relative error of 0.04% by using this theory.
