Abstract

Several years ago when our research group at Premier Laser Systems began to explore the possibility of developing a new multipurpose ophthalmic laser, we started by doing two things: we listed the specific clinical applications which we felt were most needed, and we delineated the various desirable characteristics which we believed an ideal intraocular laser system should have.
