Abstract
The Telemanufacturing Workcell Over The Internet project consists of a robotic arm which can be remotely monitored and controlled via the Internet. The project was tested in 2 exhibitions in Singapore, one using ATM network and the other modem dial-up. The issues encountered and some possible solutions are presented in this paper. One of the main issues was the use of a virtual model to act as a feedback as well as control the robot versus the use of images and video.
