Abstract
Theoretic analysis of transient process in STN LCDs is presented. The Iron Law of Multiplexing is extended to dynamic parameters of LCD. There are estimated the limiting values of frame frequency and Nmax making high contrast and TV-rate available for STN LCDs. From the analysis, it follows the reality of video-rate and TV STN screens. This paper is an extension to the theory of driving video-rate STN LCDs, reported at the VIII-th International Symposium.
