Abstract

Recent research work on the preparation and characterization of hybrid organic-inorganic optical solids in this laboratory is briefly introduced. Emphasis is given to the photophysical properties of rare earth (Eu³⁺, Tb³⁺) chelates in-situ synthesized in inorganic gel glasses as well as the fluorescence probe of organics on the microstructural evolution of the hybrid materials.
