Abstract

The SPR biosensor was sensitive to the presence of Salmonella Typhimurium in chicken carcass. The selectivity of the SPR biosensor was assayed using a series of antibody concentrations and dilution series of the organism. The SPR biosensor was specific to Salmonella Typhimurium at concentrations of 10⁶ CFU/ml. Initial results show potential for its application for pathogenic bacteria monitoring.
