Abstract
This paper provides a numerical method to study the these optical properties, the absorption coefficient, the transport scattering coefficient and the anisotropy coefficient of thermotropic material, using the inverse adding-doubling (IAD) technology with the inputs of total transmittance MT, total reflectance MR and collimated transmittance MU. The results show that absorption coefficients increase in near infrared region, the scattering coefficient values are high, and this is a backward scattering material, which means a high performance of preventing solar heat gain from indoor environment in summer and can reduce building energy consumption.
