Abstract
Large-size LED backlight is the new development trend of flat-panel TV industry. A large-sized ultra-slim edge-light type LED backlight is designed in this paper. Depending of the research of the LED manufacturers, LED is chose by the consideration of luminous efficiency, power consumption, structure design, etc. The LGP is designed through the optical design software; According to the specification and number of LED, the light-bar is designed to be double-layer MCPCB, and high voltage design is adopted in the driver control circuit which supports the PWM dimming; In order to achieve a better cooling effect, thermal design is carried out. The edge light type LED backlight designed in this paper, and backlight 9.9 mm thickness, 150W power, 5700nit center brightness, the uniformity is 82% by testing. It reaches a leading level of industry.
