Abstract
We investigate the effects of beam wander on an uncorrected laser system. The goal is to enable an accurate assessment of irradiance at a receiver or target for a shipboard laser system, and in this paper we show that a maritime surface layer turbulence model is important for an accurate vertical profile. The approach is to provide an appropriate and flexible hybrid between high fidelity surface layer similarity theory model and a parametric regression-based model.
