Abstract
BOTDR monitoring technology is using Brillouin light scattering spectroscopy and optical time domain measurement techniques, which can be distributed monitoring axial strain along the fiber. It has the characteristics of distributed, long distance, high precision and long durability etc. Based on the diagnosis of Wangjiatan bridge as a example, this paper introduces the application of this technology to bridge strain monitoring plan and monitoring result analysis method, and gives the health diagnosis of the Wangjiatan bridge. Research results show that: the application of this technology is feasible in safety monitoring and health diagnosis of bridge, is also very effective.
