Dr. David Wick is currently a Business Development Specialist and former Distinguished Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Labs. He spent 17 years as an optical engineer in the Integrated Military Systems at Sandia and at the Directed Energy Directorate, Air Force Research Lab. His interests include the integration of active or adaptive optics (variable focal length lenses, liquid crystal spatial light modulators, and MEMS deformable mirrors) into conventional imaging systems in order to improve performance and reduce size, weight, and power requirements. He has 20 years experience in R&D and business development, working in applications including wavefront control/correction, phase conjugation, beam steering, and optical correlation. He has over 50 technical articles and 3 patents. Dr. Wick received a B.S. degree with honors in Physics from New Mexico State University and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona.
