After a PhD in Laser Physics at the University of Rennes 1 (France), Ngoc Diep LAI joined the National Chung Cheng University in Taiwan for a first postdoctorate research. His work focused on studies of nonlinear properties of polymer materials and nanotechnologies for fabrication of polymer-based photonic crystals. In 2007, he joined the "Quantum Nanophotonics" research group in the Quantum and Molecular Photonics Laboratory (LPQM),Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan (France). He worked towards the optimization of single photons source, coherent manipulation of single electron spin associated to color center in diamond, and superresolution imaging techniques. He is hired in 2009 at ENS Cachan as assistant professor (Maître de conférences). He obtained his HDR (Habilitation for Supervising Doctoral Research) in 2013 and became associate professor of physics. His current research focuses on optical lithography technologies for fabrication and applications of photonic, plasmonic, magnetic, nonlinear optical structures.
