I am a researcher in electrical engineering at the Fraunhofer IPMS in the wireless microsystems department with focus on optical wireless communications (OWC). Our team developes Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) transceivers for various applications. My research focuses on analog circuit design and optical freeform design.
From 2017 to 2021 I did my Dr.-Ing. (with honors) at the Technical University Dresden (TU Dresden) and the Fraunhofer IPMS. The dissertation focuses on “investigations about linear, optical wireless frontends and custom freeform lenses for optical wireless commnunications”. The dissertation was awarded with the Applied Photonics Award 2022 and nominated for the Hugo-Geiger-Price. Beforehand, I passed my Master of Science in electrical engineering with focus on microelectronics at TU Dresden in 2017. In 2014/2015, I was an exchange student at School of Science, Aalto University for one academic year with focus on eletrical engineering and nanotechnology.
