Maryam Alizadeh is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Victoria, BC, Canada, where she is working on medical image processing topics. She received the B.Sc. degree from Kerman University in Iran and the M.Sc. degree from the University of Regina, SK, Canada in 2007 and 2013, respectively. Her Master’s research was on vision-based control of UAVs. Her research interests are in the areas of computer vision, and
image and video processing, including biomedical visual data analysis and vision-based control of robotic systems.
