A visible blind photo detector based on ambient condition synthesized single crystalline ZnO nanospikes array over glass
substrate is reported. The fabricated detector in a planner configuration exhibits exceptionally high UV to visible
rejection ratio~3000 and considerably high ON/OFF ratio~270. Modulation of resistivity owing to adsorption/desorption
of oxygen over the accessible high surface area of the spikes array in the OFF/ON condition remains behind the observed
high photo-response
