Volodymyr Gnatyuk (V.A. Gnatyuk) is a Senior Process Engineer at Advafab Oy (Helsinki, Finland) and a Senior Scientist at V.E. Lashkaryov Institute of Semiconductor Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (ISP-NASU), Ukraine. He received his M.S. in theoretical physics from V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University (1985), Ph.D. in semiconductor & dielectric physics from ISP-NASU (1993), Assoc. Prof. title from Poltava V.G. Korolenko National Pedagogical University (1995), all in Ukraine, and Honorable Guest Professor of Shizuoka University (2009-2020), Japan. V. Gnatyuk is a scientist & project manager with 39 year experience in physics & technology, material science & engineering, education & international cooperation. The areas of his research are: (i) general: semiconductor physics, photosensors, interaction of laser radiation with solids, optoelectronics, and optics; (ii) main: X/γ-ray & IR detectors, characterization of II-VI and III-V semiconductors, and laser processing of materials; (iii) current: development & characterization of Cd(Zn)Te, GaAs, CdSe and perovskite X/γ-ray sensors, surface processing & laser-induced doping of semiconductors, and laser volumetric marking & digital recording in transparent materials. He was a visiting professor in Japan, Thailand and China, and a committee member of over 20 international conferences. He is a (co)author of over 500 publications (articles, abstracts & patents). He was a leader/implementer of over 70 international R&D projects.
