In view of the low reliability, difficulty in shifting and disengaging, and "double gear" faults of the fixed axle transmission equipped with a hydraulic power assisted shift mechanism under low temperature conditions, starting with the shift principle of the fixed axle transmission, combined with the structure and working process of the shift mechanism, this paper analyzes the technical changes of the core and key components of the hydraulic power assisted shift mechanism under low temperature conditions, combined with the above analysis, It is pointed out that the hydraulic power assisted shift mechanism should take measures such as replacing the low-temperature hydraulic oil, adding a heating device and setting a gear inspection device to solve the adverse effects caused by low temperature, so that the fixed axle transmission can work more stable and reliable. After the test verification, the shift mechanism adopting the above three measures has avoided the occurrence of common low-temperature faults to a great extent and achieved good results, It has a good reference for the use of the modified hydraulic power shift mechanism of the fixed axle transmission on heavy vehicles under low temperature conditions.
